As you probably know, the Azure platform continues to expand, and last week’s unveiling of Azure DocumentDB and Search was another big step to making the Microsoft cloud even more appealing for developers. We already have customers who are trying these new solutions:
"To help McKesson continue to provide industry-leading clinical connectivity solutions, we are considering Microsoft’s next generation…Azure Search service. We are very pleased with the capabilities offered and what’s being planned for the future. These and other services will help us deliver more scalable and cost-effective solutions to our customers. Our experience working directly with the Engineers and Managers at Azure has been very positive and their support has been remarkable.” Sujatha Bayyapureddy, Enterprise Systems Architect, McKesson |
"Azure Search matched all of the features we are using in our existing on-premises search solution such as faceted navigation, query completion and geo-spatial search, particularly polygon search…We rely on features such as these to drive demand and inbound requests for the 10's of thousands of properties that we manage.” Sridhar Potineni, Director of Innovation, Jones Lang LaSalle |
"Microsoft has provided us with unprecedented access to their product and development team. We have been able to contribute to the project and influence its feature set. We have been very impressed with Microsoft’s agile development approach and think that this is shaping up to be a very exciting new product.” Allen Wales, VP Technology, Trader Corporation |
