Last week saw publication of a blog post announcing the availability of the Windows Server 2008 Foundation Network Guide - and several Foundation Network Companion Guides (FNCGs) - in the TechNet Gallery. Today a couple of more guides are published, and I thought you might be interested, so here they are:
Windows Server 2008 FNCG: Deploying 802.1X Wireless Access This companion guide to the Foundation Network Guide provides instructions about how to deploy 802.1X authenticated wireless access by using Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol-Microsoft Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol version 2 (PEAP-MS-CHAP v2).
Windows Server 2008 FNCG: Deploying Group Policy with Membership Groups This companion guide to the Foundation Network Guide provides instructions for deploying Group Policy objects (GPOs) to domain-joined computers independently of the organizational unit (OU) hierarchy of the domain. Membership in a single membership group causes the correct GPO to be applied to the computer, with filters ensuring that a GPO for one version of Windows is not accidentally applied to another version.
The Windows Server® 2008 Foundation Network Guide provides instructions on how to plan for and deploy the server roles and features that are required for a fully functioning network. It also explains how to set up a new Active Directory® Domain Services (AD DS) domain in a new forest.
