Tacoma Public Schools is the 3rd largest district in WA state. Like other urban schools, they have a large percentage of students who disengage and ultimately drop out. In the last four years, they boosted graduation rates from 55 to 78%! Microsoft Consulting Services has been engaged at Tacoma Public Schools to implement a BI solution on SharePoint and SQL. They wanted to take it a step further by using our predictive analytics solutions. They are now using Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database and Power BI for a full end to end predictive analysis solution to help them predict future dropout risks.
