Microsoft has taken steps to mitigate potential language problems by releasing Security Essentials in more than 30 different languages.

Business leaders and home PC users increasingly recognise the importance of using security software on their computers to safeguard against external attack.

In most cases, they realise that failing to do so exposes their systems to viruses, malware and other online threats.

But sourcing and installing the right IT security solutions, and ensuring systems remain protected on an on-going basis, is not always straightforward.

Particularly where people are non-English speaking - but living or working in the UK - there can be communication and understanding problems.

Microsoft has recognised this problem and taken steps to mitigate the damage, by releasing versions of Security Essentials in more than 30 different languages.

This means that more PC users can take control of their own systems, and ensure they have the required security safeguards in place.

They are able to understand what is happening during the installation process, and also able to read live updates as they are released.
