Welcome back for another analysis of weekly contributions to TechNet Wiki over the last week (Fri-Sat)
Firstly, here is the [STILL A BIT BROKE] weekly leader board snapshot...
Serhad still commanding the top slot, nice work guys, enjoying your contributions!
In the absence of a working scoreboard, here are the results of another weekly crawl over the updated articles feed.
Most Revisions Award Who has made the most individual revisions |
In at #1 this week is Richard Mueller wiki-worker extraordinaire, with 175 revisions over 131 articles!
Clinging to second place, is that guy called Ed Price - MSFT, with 44 revisions over 25 articles.
Showing at third is wiki friend and all-round good guy Yagmoth555 with 33 revisions over 33 articles.
Most Articles Updated Award Who has updated the most articles |
Jiggle that round a bit and you get:
#1 - Richard Mueller with 131 articles!
#2 - Yagmoth555 with 33 articles.
#3 - Ed Price - MSFT with 25 articles.
Good solid progress folks!
Extra back slaps and high fives for Richard of course.
Most Updated Article Award Largest amount of updated content in a single article |
The article most updated this week is Instalação do Lync 2013 Edge Server em DMZ Double Hop (Installing Lync 2013 Edge Server in DMZ Double Hop). This is a gorgeously written piece of work. As there aren't any links to an "en-US" version, I presume it's an original, waiting to be translated by someone to English?
Also worth a look is second most fiddled with, and also new arrival, اضافه کردن دومین کنترولر بهSites (fa-IR) (Add asecondcontroller to Sites). From the tags I deduce this is about Active Directory, possibly taken from "Active Directory Administrator’s Pocket Consultant", which Patris_70 has kindly translated into Farsi.
Longest Article Award Biggest article updated this week |
The largest article to receive some attention this week is Active Directory On-Premises to Windows Azure Active Directory Windows PowerShell Script. This is actually a great article to highlight, as the article is not long at all. Most of the content is a very long code snippet, beautifully enclosed in a code block. If you'd like to see how that was done, just edit the article yourself, and view the HTML source. I'd be interested to know what tool was used for this...
Most Revised Article Award Article with the most revisions in a week |
The article to receive the most revisions this week is Windows 7 - Problemas na Inicialização após Update - KB 2823324 by Vinicius Mozart. This is a Portuguese article describing fixes for the recent Microsoft upgrade that left some computers unable to recover from a restart, due to it's incompatibility with 3rd party applications like virus scanners.
Also worth noting, is the two pages of exchanges from community members, coming together this last week, to help each other with this dilemma on TechNet Wiki. Thank you Vinicius and everyone who collaborated on this article, and resolving people's problems. THIS is what TechNet wiki is all about.
Smallest Significant Edit Award Size isn't everything! Every edit counts. |
Ignoring the addition of tags, this week's smallest but valuable tweak was to Wiki Ninjas Blog: The Contributors, by the omnipresent Ed Price - MSFT. His tweak? He moved Fernando from retirement back into active service! Great to have to showing as busy again Fernando, now get back to work!
Without you lot, we'd be truly bereft of awesomeness. Thank you for lighting the way and enriching our lives!
Best regards,
Pete Laker
