The new Surface Deployment Accelerator (SDA) is designed to simplify Surface image creation and deployment to save you time and ensure you have the latest Surface firmware and drivers.

In our new Microsoft Mechanics video, Milad Aslaner, program manager on the Surface commercial engineering team, demonstrates how Surface Deployment Accelerator’s wizard-based design guides you through the steps to create and deploy Windows images to Surface devices in your organization with automated installation of the latest drivers and firmware.

As Milad demonstrates, the Surface Deployment Accelerator can help simplify the task of image creation.

The Surface Deployment Accelerator leverages the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows Assessment and Deployment Toolkit, and you can install it on Windows Server 2012 R2 or newer.

The SDA assists you with the two primary approaches for installing Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 images on your Surface devices:

  • Using an image installation task sequence to create and install a reference Windows image with the latest Microsoft Surfacedrivers, updates, and applications, and
  • Using this reference image to re-capture your own custom Windows (WIM) images.

Download the Surface Deployment Accelerator today and try it for yourself.

We hope that you find this video demonstration useful. Keep checking back on this blog and on Microsoft Mechanics for the latest Surface management and engineering news.
