Welcome to The Fire Hose – the newest blog on the Microsoft News Center!
As its name suggests, the blog’s primary mission is to cover the latest daily news and developments across the entire company. And since Microsoft pretty much makes news every day – multiple times per day – you can count on a fire hose of information here on this blog.
That said, our intention is not to overwhelm you with every piece of news the company makes. That truly would be a fire hose. Rather, our job as editors is to curate on your behalf. We’ll find the hottest, most compelling stories about our technology and, of course, the people who make the magic happen here at Microsoft – and bring them to you.
The Fire Hose joins The Official Microsoft Blog, Next at Microsoft and Microsoft on the Issues in the Microsoft News Center’s family of blogs. To give you an idea of how The Fire Hose fits in, here’s a breakdown of each blog’s mission:
· The Official Microsoft Blog– Covers and adds context to top-level news from the company.
· Next at Microsoft– Provides an insider’s view of Microsoft with a focus on the latest technology and where it’s used inside and outside the company.
· Microsoft on the Issues– Gives Microsoft’s perspective on the latest public policy and citizenship news in the tech industry.
As you can see, each blog provides a glimpse into an important facet of the Microsoft story. We hope you find The Firehose impactful, insightful and compelling. Also, we invite you to share your thoughts on the new blog by e-mailing the Microsoft News Center staff.
