Microsoft’s Bing Fund is investing in New York City startup BuzzTable, the companies jointly announced today.
BuzzTable offers a suite of customer relationship management (CRM) services designed to enhance the dining experience both for restaurants and their guests. Restaurants can use BuzzTable’s real time analytics to cut down on wait times, manage loyalty programs and offer personalized options for their customers. The company also offers an app that diners can use to check their place on the waiting list, access a visual menu and send private feedback to the restaurant.
“Helping drive efficiency in an industry the size of restaurants is a formidable challenge for any-sized company,” reads a Bing Fund Blog post published this morning.
“Startups who take on big bold challenges with the singular belief that they can simplify the experience at scale using technology and smarts, is at the core of what Bing Fund believes – disruption can come from many places.”
Previous Bing Fund investments have gone to startups including social media company Sonar and online dating service LikeBright.
