These updates provide improvements to battery reliability and resolve potential security vulnerabilities, including Microsoft security advisory 180002.
Important! |
Installing these updates to Surface UEFI first require that the device is updated with the Surface System Aggregator firmware, v233.2099.256.0 or above for Surface Pro (Model 1796) and v233.2102.1.0 or above for Surface Pro with LTE Advanced (Model 1807). When you install these updates using the MSI, the MSI will automatically detect if this prerequisite has been met. If the prerequisite is not present on the device, the MSI will install the prerequisite but will not install the Surface UEFI. After restarting the device to complete installation of the Surface System Aggregator firmware, you will need to run the MSI for a second time to complete the update process and install the Surface UEFI update. For more information, see KB 4132279. |
