Today Klout announced that the number of times your name is searched for on Bing now contributes to your Klout score. That means the more your name is searched on Bing, the more influence you will gain on Klout.
Adding Bing searches brings a new measure to Klout scores, representing another medium of influence. This is important because there are plenty of influential people out there who may not be active in social media, Klout’s traditional measure of influence. The Official Klout Blog uses Warren Buffett as an example. It turns out Buffett has only tweeted three times, but we all know he has significant clout worldwide. The blog says that his relative influence is challenging to measure with just the available online data, but Buffett’s influence is clearly reflected in Bing.
You can check it out by searching for yourself or others you know, or even Warren Buffett. Learn more about this story on the Bing Search Blog and on The Official Klout Blog.
