I met Lauren at the February UNESCO summit in Paris where we were both speakers. Lauren provided a passionate description of education challenges which resonated with me due to my long teaching background. Subsequently I talked about her work at the May ITU/UN World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in Geneva and again a week later at the Astana Economic Forum ASTEX 2013 (the largest economic forum in Eurasia).
