Today, Ubisoft’s critically-acclaimed game “Assassin’s Creed II” is available as a free download* as part of Xbox Live’s “Games with Gold” line-up. The game normally sells for $19.99 – if you’re as into math as you are gaming, you’ll know free is a much sweeter price.
Xbox Live Gold members worldwide: simply download the game directly from your Xbox 360 console, or get it from the Marketplace and it will automatically download to your Xbox next time you log on. It's available free for a limited time only, so don't delay.
Also, be sure to check out Major Nelson's Blog for details on the “Assassin’s Creed” Franchise Sale, available today through July 31, where you can score deals on additional games and downloadable content.
In just over a month, “Games with Gold” has helped Xbox Live Gold members save on three fan-favorite Xbox 360 games, “Fable III,” “Defense Grid: The Awakening” and now “Assassin’s Creed II.” Stay tuned as we continue to release two free games each month. More details on the “Games with Gold” program are available here.
*“Assassin’s Creed II” is available as a free download for Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available, except Japan which will release “Full House Poker.”
