Finding what you’re searching for just got a little easier. Bing introduced People Autosuggest in May, which provides a snapshot of information about a celebrity, politician, athlete or even a colleague with a publicly available LinkedIn profile below the search bar.
Bing has now expanded on the idea by increasing the number of categories that will show up in autosuggest to include brands, movies, albums, places, software, sport teams, animal species and more.
The Search Blog gives some examples of this in practice, such as the word "pitbull” – which could mean you’re looking for more information on the artist (a person) or the dog (a breed). Thumbnails appear with both the person and the dog (as shown above). Bing understands the difference and gives you the opportunity to select the right one.
For more examples and information, read more on the Search Blog.
