A new desktop app released from Microsoft Trustworthy Computing on Wednesday makes easy reading of the 800-plus-page Microsoft Security Intelligence Report (SIR). The SIR – which focuses on software vulnerabilities, exploits and malicious software – offers data, insights and guidance that help companies protect their organizations, software and users.
The SIR app works on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and is designed to provide readers with an enhanced way to access the vast amount of threat intelligence contained in the SIR, according to Microsoft Director of Trustworthy Computing Tim Rains.
The app includes all the content from the latest report, SIR Volume 14 and is fully searchable. Quickly filter by region and by vulnerabilities, malware, malicious websites, exploits and email threats.
To learn more, take a look at Tim Rains’ post on the Microsoft Security Blog, or go download the app now.
