With the release of version 1.3 of the Skype app for Xbox One next week, you’ll be able to take a Skype profile picture using Kinect on your Xbox One. Or, if you prefer your Xbox One gamer pic, you’ll be able to use that in your Skype profile, writes Karen Tong on the Skype Garage & Updates blog.
Also, Skype has worked with the Xbox and Kinect team to bring enhancements to auto zoom so the people on the other end of a video call are getting the best possible picture. The update will also have ways to better identify people in the picture, especially when there are multiple people in the room. The camera can adjust and see everyone in the family ̶ “even the little ones,” she writes.
