Microsoft and Symantec Take Down Harmful Bamital Botnet

Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit, in collaboration with Symantec, has taken down the harmful Bamital botnet. In the last two years, more than eight million computers have been attacked by Bamital, and its search hijacking and click fraud schemes have affected major search engines and browsers, including those offered by Microsoft and Google.
